Scottish-born Thistly Cross proudly makes farmhouse ciders with the best local produce, which drinkers
the country over have been raving about since the cidery’s inception in 2008. The East Lothian-based
company has gone from strength to strength over the last decade, beginning to sell its brews in
supermarkets after only five years, and now exporting around the globe — and ultimately, the passion
for good cider and the quality of the apples and other locally-harvested products used has made Thistly
Cross the recipient of multiple (well-deserved) awards.
With seven varieties including whisky cask-matured, strawberry, ginger and cloudy apple, as well as the
traditional cider, Thistly Cross has proven that there’s a market for craft cider just as much as there
is for craft beer. We can’t wait to have the cidery pouring at our festival — it’s just one more way in
which we at Craft Beer Experience can showcase the very best of Scotland’s larder.
